Watching the spinoff of the series with your lover is probably not a smart idea. There will be turf battles if our main character does not keep them at bay. In this manner, it appears that many of the same things will occur as previously iwth the other season as well. The anime has a lot of these things and will be fun to watch. These stories deal with sexually sensitive and scandalous topics, but they do not cross the line into pornography at any point. It’s all part of the “ecchi” anime genre. For example, I don't enjoy the genre of Slice of Life, but I am not dedicating myself to underscoring those animes. But what is not reasonable is to underscore a great anime, only because ecchi is not your favorite anime genre. I am sure that the fanbase will love it.įinally, I want to clarify that not enjoying fanservice is entirely valid.
Shin Ikki Tousen is an extraordinary comeback for this franchise. If that is not the case, now you will have an excellent pretext to introduce yourself to this incredible universe. I recommend Shin Ikki Tousen if you are already a franchise fan. Anything to complain about this new chapter. Intriguing twists in the story and great new characters make justice to the legendary Ikki Tousen. But after waiting for three years, we finally have Not all the chapters of Ikki Tousen have been good (Western Wolves was a complete disaster). But Ikki Tousen is an example of an old-school ecchi anime with a great story. There are a lot of simple and boring ecchi animes (as well as in all the other genres). They are probably scared about boobs, and that's why their brain cannot follow the story of ecchi animes.

And I think CODE GEASS alone these days is more than enough to fill the ecchi quota.Today's world is a victim of a detestable sickness: The sickness of the airhead people who cannot understand a good story only because they see fan service. I’ve never been a huge fan of the show or its plot, so I was admittedly a bit biased against this coming in.
Actually, now that I think about it, I remembering seeing the AT-X version of that promo and all the nudity was censored out, so this shouldn’t have been a surprise for me.Īll in all, the first episode didn’t particularly compel me to want to watch more of it. I would assume that the white stuff will be removed in the DVDs given how there was nudity all over the place in the DVD promo that came out a couple of months ago. As you can see though, that shot was actually censored.
There was also shower/butt shot courtesy of Ryomou, but the real “nudity” came when Ryuubi lost her swimsuit in the pool. Anyway, as expected, there were panty shots every fight scene and plenty of cleavage action. Still, that’s in comparison to other shows I’m currently watching and not to the original Ikkitousen (which I think this is a tiny improvement over). There were a few well animated scenes, but more often than not I found it a bit lacking. I’ll say upfront that I don’t really have any intention of blogging this or even fully writing up this first entry, but there were a lot of people looking forward to this, so I thought I’d provide a glimpse of what the series looks like and the ecchi factor.įor starters, the character designs appeal to me a lot more then the original ones did (which I would probably attribute to the fact that Rin Shin is the character designer), but the animation quality was nothing really to call home about.
